From December 23, 1875, and like a key that contemporizes to the older Havana -today World Heritage- with the then emergent commercial area of Centro Habana, the Gran Caribe Inglaterra Hotel, National Monument, dressed the singular elegance of the elected ones: the neoclassical magnificence of its facade in harmony with the strong Mudejar accent of its interior decorations.
The formerly Great Hotel and Restaurant of England has welcomed in every year to celebrated figures in Havana visit: Sara Barnhart, Luis Mazzantini, Imperio Argentina, Ana Pavlova, Rubén Darío, Antonio Maceo y Grajales, Raúl Capablanca and Ramón Fonts, among other personalities that distinguished to the hotel with their presence.
