The passport is the document of identity and trip that
identifies the Cuban citizens in the exterior.
All person born in Cuba that doesn't possess the crediting document of
the Cuban State where it consists, that has lost the Cuban citizenship,
should present his/her Cuban passport to enter to the national territory,
with the exception of those that emigrated before December 31, 1970 and
that they credit it with legal documents.
The Cuban Citizen Permanent Resident in the exterior will be presented
in the Consulate where he was previously registered to formalize the application
of the passport. The steps will only be made by means of the mail in those
consular offices that have it establish this way.
Making of a New Passport with Overdue Passport
When your passport is six years old of having given or it is next to
complete that time, you should present:
- Application Form or properly responded passport extension. (Obtain
the Application Form here with its instructions for the filling).
- 4 recent pictures of 2 x 2 inches, taken of front, appropriately dressed,
and without "glasses". One of them should stick to the Application
Form.
- Overdue passport, which will be returned.
- To pay the corresponding tariff.
Passport making for the first time
- Application Schedule with your general, such data and the way they
appear from your Birth Certification (original) and other additional
data that will be requested.
- 4 recent pictures of 2 X 2 inches, taken of front, appropriately dressed,
and without "glasses".
- Birth Certification (original).
- To pay the corresponding tariff.
Passport Issuing for Loss
In the event of loss, misleading and robbery of the passport in the exterior,
you will make the due accusation before the police unit of the country
where the fact took place. You should present a similar documentation
to when you request a passport for the first time.
The Cuban citizens in temporary visit should be presented with this accusation
so that it is granted the document of identity and traffic indicated by
the Immigration and Foreignness Headquarters of Cuba with the purpose
of that you can return to the country, if it is still in the period of
the 11 established months, and with the payment of the corresponding consular
tariff.
When the misleading took place during the trip, it can be identified
before the Consulate, by means of the Birth Certification, emitted by
the Registration of the Civil State where it has been registered. This
certification should not necessarily be legalized by the Ministry of Foreign
Relations of Cuba.
In the case of a permanent resident it will present the accusation and
with the data that it contains the Registration of Cuban Citizens (photocopies
of your passport) you will proceed to the expedition of another passport.

of the steps mentioned previously during their stay in Cuba, you can go

Extension of Passports
Your passport has a six year-old validity, counted from the date in that
it was given and it should be extended twice by two years every time.
To make an extension of your passport, you should:
- Present your passport and the application schedule properly filled
out.
- Pay the corresponding tariff.
