The National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation is the organism in charge of directing, to execute and to control the application of the politics of the State and the Government as for the corresponding sport programs, of education and physical culture, and of physical recreation.

Among its main tasks they are:

1. To direct the physical education and the sports in the schools and universities.
2. To direct the sport of high level
3. To direct the physical education and the sports in the community.
4. To administer the university of the sport and its branches in the whole country.
5. To Administer the Institute of Sport Medicine.
6. To administer the industry that produces sport implements.
7. To administer the politics of the sport facilities.
